Week 1

Accomplishments:
- Yagmur and Ozden can connect remotely. Downloaded VS and installed IIS.
- Changing default file selection then trying the file using "browse" works fine.
- Copied the code to remote machine through U drive.
- Yagmur and Ozden can reach sbdc-va.pods.bu.int address with given IP.
Problems:
- No problems for this moment.
- Yagmur, Ozden and Prof. Jones all have individual desktop.
TO-DO:
- Have meeting on Monday.
- Proceed further on deployment.
Week 2

Accomplishments:
- Successfully published on IIS. Chat feature works.
- Created file of website and published by creating new website on IIS and pick the file path we added published files.
- After meeting update, Project publish steps:
1- Right click on project name and select Publish on Visual Studio. 2- Pick Folder and click Start. Wait for program to complete. 3- Go to Publish file under project, copy everything. Paste into C:\Temp\Demo. 4- IIS server on C:\Temp\Demo with our IP.
Problems:
- No problems for this moment.
TO-DO:
- Have meeting on Monday.
- Discuss on meeting what to do next.
- After meeting update: work on forms and design, figure how to save it.
Week 3

Accomplishments:
- Created a basic intake form as a view.
- Updated the design of the webpage.
Problems:
- We have problems related with database.
TO-DO:
- Consistent design planning of the page.
- Redesign of the database.
- Meeting with Prof. Jones on February 10.
- Discuss on meeting what to do next.
Week 4

Accomplishments:
- Met with Prof. Jones and discussed about design requirements.
- Re-designed the homepage,text chat and form pages with changes in header and footer according to actual website .
- Added related new features to form.
Problems:
- No problems for this week.
TO-DO:
- We need to consider about how to store data.
- Improve text chat in terms of design and functionality for client and advisor.
Week 5

Accomplishments:
- Improved the design choices.
- Configured the packets in the remote computer
- Deployed the new version of the project.
Problems:
- Could not meet with Prof. Jones this week.
- Encounted with one or more projects in the solution were not loaded correctly error in visual studio.
- On click objects are not working after deploy while it was working in visual studio.
TO-DO:
- We need to figure out why on click objects are not working in remote computer.
- Meet with Prof. Jones and discuss about progress.
- After figure out data management, start to design text chat page.

Accomplishments:
- Database connection to save the form and enter key is working.
- Had meeting with Prof. Jones and made a list of to-do, also fixed problems from last week.
- Working on saving the chat.
Problems:
- No problems so far.

- Fix the message box.
- Create an advisor entrance.
Week 7

Accomplishments:
- Added advisor chat feature.
- Fixed the error in the home page and supplied a constant header to all pages.
- Worked on form database registration.
Problems:
- Encountered problems saving the form data to the database.
TO-DO:
- Need to create a well defined database in terms of data types of form objects.
- Improve the text-chat features as view.
Week 8

Accomplishments:
- Rearranged the design of the pages.
- Rearranged the connection logic of the pages.
- Added text chat feature after submit button in the form page.
Problems:
- database problems continue.

- Need to find new database solutions.
- Meet with Prof. Jones and discuss about the new progresses

Accomplishments:
- Searched about different form examples in MVC and by this way get a better understanding how it works.( resource: https://www.completecsharptutorial.com/asp-net-mvc5/4-ways-to-create-form-in-asp-net-mvc.php)
- Searched about how to save the form data as CSV file
- Decided to work on database storage rather than file because of chance of keeping data types with form objects
- Solve problems and have database connection for form page.
Problems:
- To make easy of database management, ignored some data types which applied as radio button in the form.
TO-DO:
- Need to deal with ignored data types in form to save to database.
- Need change some types that we take as textbox but indeed selection box in original page.
Week 10

Accomplishments:
- Saving chat into file, prettify file.
- Web Deploy connects IIS to SQL Server, not File deploy.
Problems:
- Getting server error after completing the form due to SQL user authentication. Tried connecting using both Windows Authentication and SQL Authentication, problem persists.
- Ozden doesn't have remote connection.
TO-DO:
- Solve problems above.
- Have Zoom meeting.

- Completed the general design of the page.
- Ozden's remote connection problem solved.

- Server error after completing the form due to SQL user authentication.

- Tested clickable objects in remote machine which seems working fine.
- Updated form old version which with reduced the features required to test database settings on our own computer.
- Web Deployment works, so able to save from form to database.
Problems:
- Combination of our work since system differences.

- Add send message feature with enter key to text chat.
- Seek better design choices.

- Publishing to "sbdc-va" completed with no errors.
- Researching possible solutions to fix web deployment issues.
Problems:
- IIS is not deployed to internet.

- Seek better design choices.
- Keep working on web deployment issues.
- When same data is entered to form an error occurs, fix it.
