Week 6

Date: 02/25/2019 - 03/03/2019

Accomplishments

- Continued to work on back-end of video chatting. Discovered some softwares related with this. here I found some cool things related with WebRTC.
- XSockets has a lot of documentation to implement video chat into a website.
- There are different sort of things in video chat. Also, we may use Okta, Mihir told it some weeks ago in a meeting.
- In hosting issue, I did not get a payment request from Azure for now. So, we will continue to host the app here.

Problem

- I did not have a chance to meet with Mihir and Megh for page designing. Probably, we will talk this after text and video chat implementations.

TODO

- Will discuss the video chat software that will be implemented in coming week's meeting and maybe other special meetings if necessary.

Week 5

Date: 02/18/2019 - 02/24/2019

Accomplishments

- Moved to all resources related with the project have been moved to another Azure account. Actually we decided that Amazon AWS may be efficient due to financial reasons, however, Megh, new member, said that Azure is free for students.
- Therefore, I decided to try my chance and created new account with university mail. They did not want a payment method, so we moved to here for now (hope for the last movement). 
- New hosting web-address is here. The method to enter the site is same. (Merwyn Jones, Mihir Padechiya, Kubilay Ozata)
- Also, continued trying to move a copy of project to Amazon AWS too. Prof. Jones said in meeting, it may be good have project in two different environments. So, I may work on that.

TODO

- Start to design of the text chat page. We may meet with Megh, works on design of video chat page. The design probably will be similar.
- Continue to work on back-end of video chatting.

Week 4

Date: 02/11/2019 - 02/17/2019

Accomplishments

- Met with Mihir to discuss server moving to Amazon and decided to do designing text chat page User Interface.
- The project is moved to Amazon, it is published, but also need to move to the database, therefore it is not active yet. AWS has a kit that enables to publish directly from Visual Studio.

TODO

- Complete the project moving to Amazon, maybe take help from Megh.
- Start to design chat page user interface.
- Group meeting.

Week 3

Date: 02/04/2019 - 02/10/2019

Accomplishments

- Met with Prof. Jones, Mihir and Megh, new member, to discuss project's specification.
- Decided to use Amazon Web Services to host the project on the web.
- The link that is shared at Week 2 has been discussed. Okta will be used for video chat conference. Will be written in C#, instead of Javascript.
- Created a Google Sheets group to create overall TODOs and milestones.

TODO

- Meet with Mihir and Megh to discuss Okta and C# combination for implementation and other things.
- Project will be moved to Amazon Web Services ASAP.

Week 2

Date: 01/28/2019 - 02/03/2019

Accomplishments

- Suspended the Azure subscription temporarily because of the financial reason. Website will be active again in required time periods.
- Mailed with Prof. Jones to organize a meeting, but Mihir was not here, but Prof. said that it is better to search something for video call while Mihir was not here.
- Made some research for implementing video call functionality to the website. This link may be useful for our project.

TODO

- Mihir sent a mail to me and Prof. Jones that he is here and ready to meet. We will organize a meeting as soon as possible to discuss.
- Will present the research and agree/disagree about implementing this video call system to overall project.

Week 1

Date: 01/22/2019 - 01/27/2019

Accomplishments

- At the end of the semester demo, we have created the main SBDC-like website.
- First, user enters his name and surname to login. Then live supporting picture link is active and click it.
- Form is filled by user to collect his/her information for business.
- At the end, a messaging box is appeared for messaging with SBDC advisor.

TODO

- Meet with Mihir and the new member of the team to discuss the overall project.
- Website will have a better decoration.
- Text messaging will have a fully functionality.
- Video call functionalty will be created and added to the system.
