Introduction

Work Hard Play Hard is an iPhone application that is done individually for my Senior Project. Today in our world working out and fitness has been a major part of many peoples lives. People want to keep track of their workouts and see the improvements they have made over time. Work Hard Play Hard will make users to efficiently keep track of their workouts, see the improvements they have made and make them be able to share their success with others.

  • Users will be asked to choose a day and enter their exercise from the exercises provided by the app or can enter a detailed workout that isn’t in the app manually.
  • After the exercise is chosen the user will be asked in order to enter weights this will have the option of selecting the desired weight in metric system(kg) or the American system (lb.) their amount of sets and repetitions.
  • When the users swipe left they will have a history log that shows weekly, monthly and yearly changes in their workout enabling them to see the improvements they have made over time.
  • By swiping right the application will have a RSS reader that provides users to post and read feeds.
  • Social media sharing options that allows the user to share their workout of the day on Facebook and Twitter.

System Overview

  • Hardware Interfaces: This application will be for iPhone4, iPhone4S, iPhone5, iPhone5S, iPhone6 and iPhone6 Plus.
  • Software Interfaces: This application will be in Objective C language using a SQLite3 Database running on OS X.
  • Application requirements: This application Requires iOS 7.0 or later.
  • Operations: This application will be hand touch, has functions like double pressing, pressing once, swiping and entering info from iPhone keyboard.

Week1-3

Implemented general design of the application. The application will be presented as an 4 different tab views which are Home Tab, Workouts Tab, RSS reader Tab and a History tab to keep track.
